Morning Musings from Pete 1.10.25
I have two musings for you this morning.
Musing #1:
Me: “Let me tell you what you are doing wrong with your life in a 10,000 word essay* on Substack and bury my thesis where you can never find it.”
You: “Thanks, fellow Substack writer!”
Are subtweets still a thing? Maybe we call them subnotes here?
TLDR: I encourage everyone to write with more efficiency. (aka use fewer words!)
*ok I exaggerate but hey, I can spell exaggerate without looking it up.
Musing #2:
I have learned there are affirmational quotes that make sense and there are affirmational quotes that do not make sense. Here’s one I found on the Insight Timer app this morning followed by my hot take:
I object to the justification of bad in order to better laud the good. “ You know, I never appreciated my left hand until I cut off my right hand.”
-said no one ever
Seriously! Good can exist AND be appreciated without bad being around at all. We just have to consciously recognize it. Off course it would help if PEOPLE WOULD STOP DOING BAD THINGS.
BONUS MUSING:
So, affirmational is NOT a word?! That is not very affirming.
