This week, confirmation hearings began for the incoming criminal-in-chief’s the types of folks that are being questioned are someone accused of sexual assault , an alcoholic, a man that got fired from a veterans-focused non-profit and that’s just Pete Hegseth.
His own mother texted him once to tell him he was an “abuser of women".
But there are other folks that maybe shouldn’t be allowed to work in the upper levels of the US Government, like Pam Bondi, who was Trump’s lawyer, among many questionable life choices she has made one of them was backing Trump’s claim that he won the 2020 election. According to the AP, she even claimed she found evidence of “cheating”. So, basically, it seems like she’s a liar, since there is no credible evidence that the 2020 election was rigged.
This is just two of Trump’s picks!
Imagine his other picks. He already went through the qualified people who were willing to work for him during his first term. So none of them should be shoo-ins.
Yet senators have to pretend and let them all get confirmed because our wonderful system doesn’t have a way to vet people who are clearly unfit to even audition for the roles Trump wants them for.
It would be great if we could get back to calling a spade a spade. As in, “sorry, you’re obviously not qualified to work this high up. Thanks for your application!”
America just seems really delusional right now.
Or maybe it’s just me because I think this is just not how a country should be run. Am I alone in this feeling?
Senators Reed, Hirono, and Duckworth gave Hegseth a good lashing yesterday. They, for the most part, kept pushing for answers even when Hegseth kept trying to feed them pasta with no sauce.
